About Us

U R Rao Satellite Centre is the lead centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation(ISRO) responsible for design, development, assembly & integration of communication, navigation, remote sensing, scientific and small satellite missions.

The center manages the entire lifecycle of spacecraft projects, starting from the conceptualization phase and progressing through design, development, and integration. It also oversees the operationalization of satellites in orbit, ensuring their functionality and performance.

In addition to its operational responsibilities, URSC is committed to advancing research and development in cutting-edge satellite technologies. The center strives to establish and maintain state-of-the-art infrastructure for satellite manufacturing and testing, ensuring that India remains a global leader in space technology.
